Based on the first week of Ex. Safkar, I thought our (IS platoon) involvement was close to none. I stayed back last Saturday at the War Game Centre for nothing, no one drew anything laptops from me, despite preparing so much. The nightmare came on Monday when 4 IS personnel went to Stagmont Camp to learn the FLTS. They came back and we had to set up the FLTS input on TV for the Brigade Commander to vet. Well, well, in a forest of trees, we had to set up 8 plasma TVs for the Indonesian Army to get a closer look at the live firing. Yi Jie even had to spearhead the task to capture the images using the canopy camera which will be broadcasted live on TV.
The vetting was rather successful. However, when we went down to the actual location which was at the spectator hill, there was no power to charge up the FLTS’ toughbook and my laptops. There were a lot of problems, we could not capture all the troops that were deployed out. When we went back, we had to self-test ourselves by walking around in the camp to see if we “appear” on the map. Throughout the whole exercise, on thing that pissed me was the change of plans every now and then. Hmm, sometimes I get irritated to see my PC, Ivan because I could sense something bad is impeding. Haha, not his fault I know (cos the shit landed on him somehow before it land on me) but I will just try to
Even before the eve of the actual live firing, we were still doing our testing in camp at night when everyone had tuned in. We had to prepare powerpoint slides to stimulate the real movement of troops should our FLTS fails (which is 99.99% will), poor Xianzu and Weiss slept at 1am while me and Bernard fell asleep at 12.30am. The next time I woke up was
The actual day was super busy, time was constrained and so much hiccups with the lost of powerpoint slides, VGA cable was not long enough to be projected on the screen, etc. I managed to catch my breath only when the live firing starts at 10plus
It’s December and the air smells good with Christmas around the corner. I am glad to announce that I only have one working day in December which is
IS platoon cohesion is on 7th December. Apparently our PC, Ivan wants it to be at Vil’lage but the rest felt it would be better we go for a buffet (like Sakura or Seoul Garden) that is not the pay-as-you-eat buffet. I agree with the rest, but how are we going to deliver that suggestion to him?

I may look ‘beng’ or ‘dao’, but I am actually an extrovert. Time will tell, I can yack non-stop, crap and express myself with the weirdest examples. I am crazy, but thats the way to distress ma. Being original, simple and honest are my primary goals in life, and I hate hypocrites and pretentious people. So devils, please stay away from me.
