31 July 2008. Disrupt Day.

Well, woke up at 7am and went to the medical centre to do my blood test. The brigade medical officer made a mistake. Actually disruptees need to do blood test, same as ORD personnels. Sian, this means that next week I have to return for my medical FFI and pink IC. OC said he wrote a very wonderful testimonial for me. Hmm, not many people get that.. we shall see what is it in my Certificate of Service next week. After all, I’ve got nothing to do with SAF at least for now. No reservists (yet) except need to return my liability in December 2008 to finish serving my remaining 38days. Haha, don’t say I’m stupid, personal reasons and commitments.

The platoon is growing to a 20-men platoon. Wow, the CP would probably be so cramped. Saw so many new faces and have invited them for tomorrow’s BBQ, afterall, it’s CCIS Cohesion ma…

Lookin back…

Back in September 9, 2006, I was enlisted to Tekong – Hawk Company – Platoon 2 – Section 3 – Bed 10. Gosh, I remembered. My buddy was Gerald Leong, now in 5SIR as a scout sergeant, support company.. is in the same camp, and he even called me today to catch up with me… So kind of him. As we were always busy, we seldom bump into each other in camp. Sad. BMT was the most shiong phase of the two years but the bonds made were strong, probably because we could understand the shit and sweat that we were going through. The 13-week passed after many IPPTs, SOCs, route marches, field camp, SIT test, concluding with a Passing Out Parade. Parents and friends we invited.

Thereafter, we went separate ways and I was posted to Signal Institute for Information Systems Course for nine weeks before posting to HQ 3SIB (Signal Company - CCIS Platoon). My memories in 3SIB were the greatest and memorable. Reason being that I received the most shit and responsibilities. As a chief system administrator, huge name with big responsible. Server is my baby and if it don’t work, the whole exercise failed. The stress were evitable and it was only spread between me and Borg. Then, the platoon was only less than 2 person. Sad. Went through so many exercise, even overseas attachments. Went to Thailand and Taiwan, proud that my NSFs days were fully utilized.

I wanted to rest myself during the two years, but it seemed that I was more chiong as compared to my school days. Why? I not sure what’s the motivating or pushing factor. Probably is from “upstairs”. Ha. At least, I spent the two years fruitfully. I kind of mastered some IT knowledge which I was not exposed in during school days. At least I know what are the layers in the OSI Model, configure switches and routers, installing and managing servers, and understanding the SQL, etc.

At 8.30am today, I left the camp secretly while the rest were having technical handling test for their range next week. Didn’t want to flaunt myself physically. I have always wanting to be a low-profile person.

Being original, simple and honest are my primary goals in life, and I hate hypocrites and pretentious people. So devils, please stay away from me.

Backed in primary school, some catastrophe happened and that changed my goals in life. Well, I am working very hard for that ‘paper’ and that bright and promising future. $$$. I want to prove all those who have looked me down. I want to fight for that future!
