Reported back to camp on Tuesday night and all set for the 24SIB ICT exercise. Wednesday was disastrous with a lot of preparations to be done and some that were not raised. Hmm, not Bo Hong’s fault, but the communications between our OC and other units. We joined domain only at 6pm and our mirroring failed, thus we had to start another mirroring at 10pm. Thankfully, when we woke up in the morning, the mirroring process was completed. Oh ya, we also welcomed our new ISPC, 2LT Zhou Yong Hui, Zen. No comments, we shall wait and see. Quite chatty and is a business student (again).

We woke up as early as 7am on Thursday to load our stores and move the server to the tonner. The objective of this ICT exercise is to teach the reservists NSmen on the areas under the brigade’s CCIS platoon, thus we were upgraded to coachers and facilitators. After setting up the command post, we handed the stores and command post to the NSmen and went back to camp for nights off.

The unlucky Friday. Friday was disastrous. I have never seen an exercise so messed up before. First, we were told to tear down as the NSmen will be arriving and we have to set up the command post for them to see. Fine, we did. However, after hours of waiting for the NSmen, we realized that the command post will not be displacing, thus our effort of keeping the tables and benching was wasted. We set up again (suck thumb). When the NSmen arrived, we gave them a briefing and got their hands to work. The next hurdle came, there was a confusion on the hard disk to use. We were told from two groups with different instructions. The verdict: use 24SIB hard disk prepared by 3 Signals. As we have prepared our exercise in our own hard disks, the change of instructions would mean that our efforts have gone futile. We had to start from scratch. We worked till 7pm before we were sent back as the whole company was waiting for us to return before they can book out. We left 5 men behind to man the CP as the programme will only after 9pm.

Four unlucky ones were asked to stay back to be umpires or to support the NSmen on Saturday. I am one of them since Bo Hong has to do his Saturday COS duty. I was practically walking around doing nothing. After hours of slacking, I left at 12pm and head back home before I book in the very day later. Why? Because I am the Sunday’s COS.

  • I may look ‘beng’ or ‘dao’, but I am actually an extrovert. Time will tell, I can yack non-stop, crap and express myself with the weirdest examples. I am crazy, but thats the way to distress ma. Being original, simple and honest are my primary goals in life, and I hate hypocrites and pretentious people. So devils, please stay away from me.

Backed in primary school, some catastrophe happened and that changed my goals in life. Well, I am working very hard for that ‘paper’ and that bright and promising future. $$$. I want to prove all those who have looked me down. I want to fight for that future!

“A promise made, will be delivered. And I hope for the same repayment” ...Come try me!

I have met some of my most important friends in life - god-send angels. I am grateful for their supportive and encouraging advices. We will work hard.

This is me, welcome to my world!

Met Since 1998. Alvin & BaoBao.
