It was COS rest for me while half the platoon went to Jurong Camp for the 24SIB ICT – Ex. Lion Strike. Hmm... a screw up on our OC side, he told us the exercise name was Ex. Lion Heart. It's quite different right? Nothing alarming happened for the ICT exercise except that we were slacking in some aircon room, sleeping or playing 'BANG' for four days. We are the second line of help, thus, if the NS men can't solve the problem, then we will come to play. And because most of the NS men chosen for the CCIS platoon were IT engineers or experts, those tiny troubleshooting were no issue to them. They even went on to edit the SQL scripts which I had never done before. Impressive!!

Because the platoon is broken up to two shifts, half went on the first two days while the remainder went on Tuesday and Thurday (that includes me), this led us to more free time in camp. CSM, OC and OO not around, practically we were kings. There were no parades, we were in admin all day. Visiting the gyms, swimming and running around the camp. However, due to the shortage of signallers, the entire CSP and CCP platoons were activated for the exercise. Their role is to sleep in the training shed. Hmm... very efficient.

While slacking in Jurong Camp, the server team which is spearheaded by Bo Hong (now) was activated for preparation for Ex. Crackerjack in mid-July. The directory replications were done with 3DIV and 8SAB domains and hopefully no changes will be made to delete and redo them. While accompanying them for the rep, I am quite confident that I have passed my knowledge down to the next generation and can ORD in peace. Well, if my exams can end by mid-Nov, I will go back for Ex. Switchblade which is a build-up from Ex. Crackerjack. It will be as huge as Ex. Highnoon, thus, the burden will all be on Bo Hong. Moreover, by then Bernard would have ORD-ed, and if the PC don't act and take on more reponsibilities, then it will be a major screw up. There is no Alvin or Bernard to clean up those PC shit anymore. Bo Hong definitely won't do it.

On Thursday, the CSP and CCP platoons tore down and returned their stores back to camp. Sadly, we have to wait till evening for the CP to tear down before we could take over the stores. As many of them wanted to go nights off, we decided to take over on Friday instead. However, no tonner was indented. Hai. What a screw up. This means, on Monday, we gotta transport all our laptops, UPS, switches and HA server back.

Next week is gonna be a very packed week.
Monday - bringing stores back plus getting image from 3Sig.
Tuesday – cloning laptops and joining domain. Plus more shit coming.
Wednesday till Friday – C4 Hook up for Ex. Crackjack

Anyway, this is gonna be my last exercise. My leave starts 14 July till my last day. Any shit will not spoil my mood and I will do it wholeheartedly with no grumbles. Haha.. Just came back from a 8km East Coast Park run, my leg feels so aching.
