It’s officially over! First semester at NTU over, left 5 more semesters. Haha. This semester just passed so swiftly with tonnes of projects and deadlines. I almost died and there was no chance for breathers, we were squeezed to the max. And the exams periods are rather long. My first paper started on Nov 12 and lasted till 27 Nov. 4 Subjects spread over 3 weeks? No, they cramp the most difficult papers at the end – back to back some more. Purposely right?

Anyway, I did terribly for all the papers. Let me tell you why?

AB105 – Organizational Behaviour (40%)
First paper took on Nov 12. Duration was 2 hours and most students could not finish. Those who finished practically just write bits here and there. And that’s what I did too. Hmm, the first question chui cos I did not have the time to finish elaborating the mechanistic structure of the firm... Hmm, that part was 15 marks. And the fact that this is an analytical and qualitative paper, it is quite impossible to score full marks. Verdict: B or worse (coursework also chui).

AB112 – Marketing (60%)
Second paper took on Nov 19. Duration was 2.5 hours. Got one week of time to study for this open book exam, a bit waste time lor. Anyway, most students were able to finish and again, whether you write wonderfully and convince the marker, that’s another thing. Hmm, as this is more of an argument paper, I think it depends on the marker. However, I managed to crap and hope is not nonsense rubbish to the marker. Verdict: A- or B+.

AB103 – Statistics (65%)
Third paper took on Nov 26. Duration was 2.5 hours. Killer paper and the highest failure rate in NBS. It killed many of the students especially on the question on linear programming worth 20 marks. I gave up lor, so you think? Verdict: B- or worse, if they moderate, should get better ba. Moderate, moderate, moderate.

AB106 – Economics (70%)
Last paper took on Nov 27. Duration was 2.5 hours. Only had less than one day to study, thanks to the “good” planning of exam dates. Hmm, got ample of time to think but the question was challenging. Challenging until my last part 10 marks all wrong. My god. So unlucky but I was very tired lor, did not think well. Verdict: B+.

If everything goes as expected, my GPA will be 3.5/5. Hmm, think quite low lor.... But anything already la, what’s done is done, everything over. Nothing to regret. I just hope to graduate with a second class honours. Stress level is shooting my blood pressure up, and I am going to die to heart attack soon. So I am not going to chiong so much after year one. I will built a strong year 1.

Come 29 December, the results will be published. ANd it will be history soon.

  • I may look ‘beng’ or ‘dao’, but I am actually an extrovert. Time will tell, I can yack non-stop, crap and express myself with the weirdest examples. I am crazy, but thats the way to distress ma. Being original, simple and honest are my primary goals in life, and I hate hypocrites and pretentious people. So devils, please stay away from me.

Backed in primary school, some catastrophe happened and that changed my goals in life. Well, I am working very hard for that ‘paper’ and that bright and promising future. $$$. I want to prove all those who have looked me down. I want to fight for that future!

“A promise made, will be delivered. And I hope for the same repayment” ...Come try me!

I have met some of my most important friends in life - god-send angels. I am grateful for their supportive and encouraging advices. We will work hard.

This is me, welcome to my world!
