Leaping to the eleventh week, that’s was a big accomplishment.

Live Range
Monday and Tuesday was live range and it was tiring. We had our weapon zeroed so that we can shoot accurately, but the entire process lasted till 3pm. Then, the day shoot commence officially, but when it reaches my turn, the sky turned dark as the sun start to set. Therefore, we proceeded with the night shoot. It was fun, exciting yet scaring. The tracer bullet was beautiful as you can see those laser lights shooting at the target when you fire but scary as it was very dark that you can’t see anything, you have problems loading your weapon, most importantly, the risk of miss firing that will end up being confined (especially when you don’t know if there are still rounds in the rifle). Well, I shoot very well for the night shot; I think I missed only 2 targets out of 16 rounds. We proceeded back to camp at around 1.30am. We sent arms and washed up and slept at 2.15am.

The next morning, I went for my day shoot, damn it, the first four shoot, I missed all as it was a small target, a head figure (figure 15), but almost hit all the rest of the 12 rounds. At around 3plus, the day shoot ended for everyone. As my platoon was packing to set off back to camp, they called for a few names, and my name was called. I have to stay back for re-shoot cos’ they think if I re-shoot for day, I will get marksman.

I stayed and shot. I missed the 4 figure 15 targets again, which means, my marksman is gone. Well, I’m okay with it. The saddest thing is that those day re-shooters have to wait for those night shooters to finish before we can go back together. I waited there till around 10plus before we went back. Army is a waste of time, make people wait and wait. When we reached company line, we had to clean our rifles before we can wash up and sleep. Eventually, I slept at around 11.30pm.

Other Activities
Wednesday was the slackest day. We had lectures, medical check-up for the whole day. However, some idiots who never lock their cupboards caused the whole company having to stand-by-bed. This is my first stand-by-bed. What the hell, those punishments we got was horrendous! Thursday was similar and we had medical check-up. We had our last IPPT. I failed because of Standing Broad Jump (again) and surprising I failed my 2.4km (I got one point, but pass is 2 points) because I had stitches during my fourth round. The pain was killing. I failed by 30 seconds.

16Km Road March
Friday – the shiong-est day of the week. We had a tough strength training and 3-rounds of run with our SBO. We did our hand grenade practice in the noon before we commence our 16km road march. The 16km was tiring but our platoon’s morale was the highest as our platoon sergeant lead us many songs that made us sing our lungs out. The last 8km, we sang chinese songs, it was non-stop hits.. haha. Everyone was so high. The rest of the platoons were tired while we sang out loud to entertain them. That was the highlight of the week. When we reached back to camp at around 9.30pm, our shoulders and legs were aching and we massaged for one another. Before 11pm, everyone was knocked out.

The first time ever, we booked out at 0830hrs. Tonight, I will be booking in at 2040hrs, which is very late. I don’t know why, but Hawk doesn’t seem so welfare to me. Maybe something is not right. Next week, I am going for my SOC (diagnostic and evaluation) test, hand grenade live throw.

Glad that I am 2.5 weeks away from POP (Graduation Parade).

  • I may look ‘beng’ or ‘dao’, but I am actually an extrovert. Time will tell, I can yack non-stop, crap and express myself with the weirdest examples. I am crazy, but thats the way to distress ma. Being original, simple and honest are my primary goals in life, and I hate hypocrites and pretentious people. So devils, please stay away from me.

Backed in primary school, some catastrophe happened and that changed my goals in life. Well, I am working very hard for that ‘paper’ and that bright and promising future. $$$. I want to prove all those who have looked me down. I want to fight for that future!

“A promise made, will be delivered. And I hope for the same repayment” ...Come try me!

I have met some of my most important friends in life - god-send angels. I am grateful for their supportive and encouraging advices. We will work hard.

This is me, welcome to my world!
