A 2.5 day week. After drawing out the manpack radio sets in the morning, the IS and CSP platoons went to Jurong Camp for the FLTS training course conducted by 3 Signals Battalion. In the morning, we learnt the configurations on the radio sets as well as managing the tough book. It was more towards the CSP platoon’s scope. However, in the after when the CSP platoon head back camp, the IS platoon continued with the r***en and FLTS integration course. It may sound simple, but we gonna test it out during the company’s proficiency test after Chinese New Year. This time, our platoon is doing a small-scale CP setup with one server and five clients (info as for now).

On the same day and location, Allan, Ziwei and Calvin were at 3rd Division as well in Jurong Camp to participate in the WITZ project. I couldn’t attend because I was attending that FLTS course. The outcome was we won the silver award. We were the dark horse, our project was not promising, it was only a simple idea – a store catalog that helps borrowers to identify (by pictures) the correct stores to draw.

Tuesday, 3 Signals came to our camp to learn the setting up of a rebro. The CSP platoon conducted while we slacked in bunk and had our beauty rest before the 12km route march. At around 6pm, we drew arms and headed to East Coast Park for our route march. It drizzled for a while, after that it faded off. Sad, though it was tiring, but most of us could endure the 12km, although the last 4km was taxing because OC wanted a faster pace (since we lost out to BRC). We head back to camp at around 11.45pm. After bathing and biting some snacks, it was already 1.30am. Luckily, we were asked to fall in this morning at 8.30am, if not, all of us will be pandas for the lunar new year.

This morning, the brigade CNY celebration was conducted at the Paragon Mess. The atmosphere was great. We had games from writing “Chun Lian” which I participated and got 100 marks (bu fu zhong wang – I was 5 time calligraphy award recipient back in secondary school), to cheer competition and build the tallest mandarin orange competition. After which we “lao yu sheng” there were around 20 yu sheng, each company took 5 yu shengs. We lao until our hands (and some hair) got yu sheng. Haha. Good year ahead. The last highlight of the day was the 30-prize lucky draw which includes a 14” flat LCD tv, sound system, steamboat cooker, ear phones to the lousiest peanuts and coke. Though I did not win anything, but we won first prize (overall) in the games and got ourselves a big hamper of titbits. Haha.

Before I sign off. I would like to wish each and everyone out there a Happy and Prosperous New Year. I hope that Ex. High Noon would be a success and to ORD earlier. And also, I hope to get my first distinction from NTU in 2008. I guess I will do it faster than Baoyin which is my 2 year senior. Haha.

I may look ‘beng’ or ‘dao’, but I am actually an extrovert. Time will tell, I can yack non-stop, crap and express myself with the weirdest examples. I am crazy, but thats the way to distress ma. Being original, simple and honest are my primary goals in life, and I hate hypocrites and pretentious people. So devils, please stay away from me.

Backed in primary school, some catastrophe happened and that changed my goals in life. Well, I am working very hard for that ‘paper’ and that bright and promising future. $$$. I want to prove all those who have looked me down. I want to fight for that future!
