Over 70,000 runners participated in the Army Half Marathon held on Sunday, 26th August 2007 at Marina Bay. Everyone woke up at 3am for breakfast and set off at 4pm to Marina Bay where the floating arena was. The 21km started off at 6pm followed by mine at 7pm. We ran around the city area and of course the Benjamin’s Shears Bridge which was the highlight of the run. There were a lot of casualties but I did not know that someone collapsed and died until it was broadcast on the news. So sad for the 25 year-old Captain, but I guess he pushed himself so much. So garang for what. That’s army, if not those regulars also cannot get promoted. After photo taking, we went off for breakfast at Suntec at 10.30am.

On the same day, we were to book in at night when every other units were on recovery off. No choice, cos we are organising the Army Open House. The whole week was at PLC doing nothing, because they only need radio signalers, hence the rest are only playing supporting roles. As of today, I was informed that I will be at the information booth to gather feedbacks from visitors. Sitting there and rot basically! But I will be doing COS duty on Saturday, so can slack in camp while half will be in PLC and the rest on guard duty. Haha. Yesterday was the most shiong as we only went back at 11.30pm but were given half day off (which explains why I am so free typing this blog now).

Sian, have to book in later by 9.30pm as there will be a briefing at 10pm by our OC. Tomorrow is the actual showdown and it will last till next Monday. 6 days of waking up early. Those interested can visit PLC from 30th August to 3rd September, 10am to 8pm. Shutter services provided at Boon Lay Interchange every 30 minute interval. Out to you, cha, cha.

I may look ‘beng’ or ‘dao’, but I am actually an extrovert. Time will tell, I can yack non-stop, crap and express myself with the weirdest examples. I am crazy, but thats the way to distress ma. Being original, simple and honest are my primary goals in life, and I hate hypocrites and pretentious people. So devils, please stay away from me.

Backed in primary school, some catastrophe happened and that changed my goals in life. Well, I am working very hard for that ‘paper’ and that bright and promising future. $$$. I want to prove all those who have looked me down. I want to fight for that future!
