Last Sunday’s COS duty was boring, lucky to the iNet and TV in the office to keep me away from boredom. After the handling over to the next COS on Monday, I went to wash up before taking my nap. However, that 5SIR was making so much noise moving their stores and driving their vehicles around that disturbs my sleep. I was struggling to sleep. At 11am, my CSM called me to the office to settle the hard disk quotation (forgetting that I was on COS rest), I went since I couldn’t sleep.

While I was in the office, 2 new guys carrying their duffel bags were posted in. They were Sispec, OOC, posted in as Signalers. After which, they were directed to my bunk. New guys coming means lesser shit on us. If they join my platoon, then that’s a different story, cos shit will never stop landing on the IS platoon. The next day, 4 new guys were posted in, with similar background, OOC from Sispec also. Due to the shortage of space, my CSM decides to open up another bunk for them, since next week, there will be another batch of cross-trained Signalers from Signal Institute posted in. Hopefully, will get some guys in the IS platoon to spread our workload. As for the 6 new guys, they will be going to Signal Institute for signal course in September.

ICCT resumed and we had revision classes for the whole week as next week would be the actual grading, which coincidentally falls on Wednesday, my birthday! Did a whole lesson of break-fall, my body, especially the shoulder and butt ached, *gosh!

As I was saying the shit will never stop landing on the IS platoon. We were tasked to complete a brigade website on Tuesday. We had to stay back on Wednesday (afternoon after the National Day Ceremony) and Friday (morning, after guard duty) to finish up the website while the whole brigade was on off. As of yesterday, it is only 40% done. Anyway, by Tuesday, we can show a draft or the skeleton to my OC. It’s mental taxing but for the offs, we will preserve. This week, I’ve earned 2 off days for the website project and public holiday’s guard.

Haha, I took my free birthday off on Monday instead. Following on Tuesday and Wednesday will be the ICCT mock and actual grading respectively. Thursday will be our signal cohesion (becos of new guys posted in) where we will be having a BBQ session. Friday will be physical, 18km East Coast Run.
